astm f468 bolts come under the specification covering wrought, ferrous and commercial bolts, screws, hex caps and studs. The specification also includes nuts made from different grades of materials. Viha Steel & Forging is a leading manufacturer of different types of ASTM F468 Fasteners. These are intended for general service applications and common uses.
The production is by means of hot forged and cold forged. The size of the nuts ranges from M02 to M33 and the length of the fasteners range from 3mm to 200mm. The materials used to make the astm f468 screw can be of hastelloy, cupro nickel, alloy 20, Inconel, monel and others. The standards covered under this specification are ASTM SB 160, 164, 425, 166, 446, 574 and 472. The astm f468 uns n06625 fasteners range as bolts, washers, nuts, screws and others such as threaded rods as well. There are different coatings available such as hot dipped galvanized, phosphate coated, Teflon, xylon, zinc and cadmium coating. The astm f468 uns n10276 fasteners can come in hex, square, round and different threading types.
The material composition includes aluminum, copper, iron, manganese, nickel, phosphorus, silicon and zinc in different proportions depending on the difference in the grade. The astm f468 alloy400 grade of fasteners have 80ksi proof stress and 86ksi heavy proof stress. The other grades have proof stresses ranging from 60ksi to 130ksi. The hardness of these fasteners ranges from 24HRC to 85HRB. The astm f468 grade 5 has 24HRC hardness, 130ksi proof stress and good corrosion resistance.
